Our mission

We are working with local communities in Yunlong Tianchi National Nature Reserve to restore burned forests with projects that replant native tree species, increase biodiversity and improve livelihoods. As we work to restore the forest ecosystem, we monitor and research the restoration sites' progress. In 2015, an infrared camera captured the Yunnan snub-nosed monkeys adjacent to the restoration site, redefining the southernmost distribution of the species. We also organize citizen science activities and work with communities to develop sustainable livelihoods in harmony with the landscape.
