Our mission
Among many benefits, mature, complex coffee agroforestry systems have been shown to support up to 80% of the biodiversity of healthy forests. Thus we are planting 9,000 native forest and fruit trees interspersed with 52,500 coffee seedlings across a 150 hectare park, and are establishing biological corridors to the gallery forest. However, the transition out of monoculture is too costly for most farmers. Thus we pair this underutilized agroforestry model in tandem with payments for ecosystem services to ensure that conservation and restoration directly support local livelihoods.
