Our mission

We restore grasslands once home to Cape leopards, blue duiker, and the Cape Mountain zebra, which we have reintroduced. Meanwhile, we work with local farmers to combine sustainable agriculture such as honeybush or pome fruit cultivation with invasive species management and prevention of overgrazing. By bringing bottom-up and top-guided processes together to solve the shared challenge of nurturing natural ecosystems, we drive social learning in a capacity-building process to support socio-ecological rehabilitation. In short, we empower communities to innovate and become more resilient.
