Our mission

Home to approximately 209 bird species, 19 species of mammals, 113 species of butterflies and moths, and 981 species of plants, among others, the park is an oasis of biodiversity on what was once a highly degraded former mine infested with weeds. Now a nature reserve, we conserve and propagate medicinal plants, native ferns, fruit trees, and butterflies to bring our beautiful pollinators back to Delhi. These restored mining sites also provide outdoor recreation and nature education — as well as ecosystem services — to nearby urban dwellers.
