Our mission

In the municipality of Extrema in Minas Gerais, we have combined forest restoration with the protection of freshwater resources along the Jaguarí river watershed. Our plantings help stabilise riverbanks and prevent erosion. With local stakeholders paid for their work, it is a shining example of payments for environmental services in action. The project has already restored 1,000 hectares and planted over 2 million trees in the Atlantic Forest region, bringing back the natural habitats that ensure the survival of endangered species like the puma, the sauá monkey and the araucária tree.
