Our mission

Working in support of the Bonn Challenge, we are a global program with a local purpose: to restore the functionality of the Tana River Delta ecosystem, home to the endangered African elephant, as well as several species of critically endangered primates and birds. This freshwater ecosystem is composed of forests, grasslands, and wetlands, which all play a critical role in maintaining the health of the river and the communities who rely on it. We implement restoration at scale, while also training residents in more sustainable agricultural practices and livelihoods.
