Our mission

The Chigloza mountain ecosystem in northern Pakistan may find its salvation in its very namesake. Chigloza trees produce valuable pine nuts, which, through supporting its sustainable harvest and Assisted Natural Regeneration, can support local livelihoods and reduce pressure on forest resources. The area is home to rare and endangered species such as the Juniper tree, snow leopards, Himalayan lynx, Kashmir markhor, Tibetan wolves and black bears. By providing an economic incentive for conservation and restoration, we help communities make room for the forest's biodiversity.
