Our mission

We work with herders in the alpine grasslands of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau to reverse degradation through restoration techniques that have already restored 60 hectares of land. The area is home to endangered species such as falcons and steppe eagles, as well as endemic Tibetan foxes and black-necked cranes. By restoring these grassland ecosystems to sustain larger populations of herbivores and other mammals, we hope to increase the carrying capacity of the ecosystem to support the vulnerable fauna such as snow leopards, and improve the function of soil and water conservation in the area.
