Our mission

In Burkina Faso, approximately 16 million people - or 80% of the population - are directly dependent on agriculture or forest resources for their livelihoods. Yet local overexploitation and global climate change is destabilizing the natural ecosystems on which they depend. Our project is working to regenerate forests, encourage the sustainable cultivation of non-timber forest products, and to construct boulis to supply water to local communities. By promoting an enabling environment for the sustainable governance of forest resources, we can improve local incomes and mitigate climate change.
